Roku or Android OS for smart TV ??

Morning all,
I'm looking to buy a new smart TV but want to be able to watch iptv straight through the TV via a app on TV rather than through a STB.
Does anyone know which OS will suit me best or have any experience with Roku or Android OS on smart TV's?
Both OS can run iptv apps but after reading reviews got confused which to go for so after advice.

the smartv app works well with iptv on sammy and lg smart tvs cost a fiver to buy through tv apps store cheers
