Regarding IPTV, what are the current options to get this? I had it before but then needed a vpn which was too much trouble, so I stopped using it. Is a vpn still the only way to watch the live sports, or has it evolved? Has it even died entirely as I know current encryption issues are around again? Is it worth getting now, or wait a while, or is there an even better alternative?

In the past I have used the SmartIPTV app with my Samsung TV and Firestick.
Any advice would be appreciated

*Edit: Should have mentioned that I have a Virgin connection, and am not averse to buying a reasonably priced box providing its easy to use and doesnt require a vpn
