South Africa v ENgland Test Match

    Hi

I know I'm starting many different threads, but before I make the financial investment needed for satellite I must make sure it's for me. I am sitting watching test match on Sky as I type. If I had satellite system would I be able to watch it, with English commentry, without subscription to Sky with a 1m motorised dish and 500s in London?

I would say that Sky probably broadcast cricket more than any other provider and what you would need to do is try and get S*y on your satellite setup. If you just want to watch tv then get yourself a subscription to S*y but if you fancy a challenge than google CS.

I came to DW forum then DK after frustration of relying on sc*mbag guy charging for his knowledge on cable that was/is freely available. I not only saved myself money, but also learnt at the same time. How bad can that be?

Yeah I wanna watch TV, and of course subbing to s*y is always an option. However I would rather plunge a years sub costs into equiptment and learn as I go. So CS for cricket is not gonna be a deal breaker for me as I would rather consentrate on the basics to start with.

I'm reading and reading and reading these forums. I was particulalry interested in the thread that showed this product.

Wavefield DS 55cm Force Frontier Multi Sat Dish

If I look at the house next to me they have small black mesh dish that I guess is either s*y of freesat. I am not very good with heights, but I reckon I might be able to place this above dish on a flat froof and get the thing pointing in the same general direction. Am I on the right track? Also is there anything to stop me putting twin LNB's on the Wavefield.

I fancy this option because the dish size is easier to handle for me, I like the idea of instant changing satellites. However I know I will be restriced far more than a motorised. Is it a sensible thing for a novice (and what would be my first self install). I want to run 2 500s.

Also if I am able to get the above up and running would I then just be able to sub to s*y without the need of a second dish at a later stage.
