    Faulty dish motor ?

    Hi all,

I have a motorised dish setup which has'nt been used since december, I've just upated the firmware (Echolink) tried to use it and the motor won't turn ! I then put old firmware back on
but same problem , so possibly motor died ?its about 6 years old
H to H mount. is it possible to repair the motor?

What is the best way to test please ?

is it a 36V H to H or a diseqc motor? most diseqc motors have a manual button on them and an indicator light.if it is a diseqc motor you can replace it for under ?50 now.
otherwise you can test with a volt meter at the motor.
