no need to use a splitter if you use the lnb loop through on the 1st box to the lnb input on the 2nd it will be ok you must leave the 1st box on standby for it to work. I"ve done it with my tm6800 as the 1st box to my tm1000 and it works fine without signal loss.you can control the motor from the 2nd box as well but keep the 1st one on standby and not on to avoid clash.but if you turn the motor control off on the 2nd box you can use both boxes at the same and just use box 1 to move the dish.

        hello mate,
sure I remember you,I only really know about TM std boxes and like to keep it as simple as poss.
rock bottom you can get FTA tm3100D for under ?50.or a tm5300D+ super usb for under ?90 this has a multicrypt card reader and you can patch it via usb like the 6800.

yeah as far as I know all the std boxes are patchable if you check out the stickies in the technomate section 1st you will be ok.
I"ve got to qualify what I said about running both boxes at once, that only works if you are on the same tp.and it is advisable to keep the sets on the same sat, nothing happens if you dont its just the motor does not respond when you switch sets til you have.(it sounds more complicated than it is).just play with it and you"ll understand what I mean.once the warmer weather gets here I"ll put the tm1000d on its own dish/motor.I"ve got both boxes in the same room and use the 1000d to play around with.
you could also consider putting a twin or quad LNB on to replace your single that way you can can have full use of any additional sets your connect straight to the dish and leave your original set to control the motor although it means they are restricted to using the same sat it is another way of getting round not putting other dishes up.
