If card not present on the day of install, Then you will need to call sly and get them to activate the card for you.
The engineer will point you in the right direction.

Mine came four days before install and was all completed Sat. 6th.The account activates when the engineer installs so shortly after you will be able to see your account balance-this is where I discovered the error which Sattalk told us all about-so don't expect a bill for ?28.75-it will be ?33.25 for all those glorius HD channels for 12mths-VM? Who?

Well got mine and all is good and they have got my bill correct too!, also just got a letter from vermin offering me ?50 if they cant beat the deals i have for tv, broadband, landline and mobile. so will be getting ?50 from them soon!!!

If you dont want to phone SKY when new card arrives, just search this forum for Installers menu, put your card in box and go through new installation procedures, the box will do a call back to SKY and activate your card instantly, no waiting on phone to get through to someone and no waiting for over the air activation!!
