d box 2 sat dish

hi guys can anyone help me. i want to get my mother a dbox 2 but she doesnt have virgin on her street as they are new bulid houses. i know you can get a d box2 with a sat connection. what dish do i need and where can i get one? do u just put the dish up point it in the right dirrection and connect it to the d box2?

The size of the dish varies depending on which satellite you want. There are about 50 birds up there viewable from england. Once you have chosen a satellite you then buy a dish and install it using a compass to give you a brief direction. Difrant sats have differant channels open if any. You can look at kingofsat to choose a satellite or tell us what channels your after and we'll point you in the right direction. Regards
