Where is my dish pointing to? Weird channels on Astra pics inside

Hi all,

Please bare with me, SAT is all new to me and just experinmenting and trying to get my head round it.

I have 2 dishes, 1 x downstairs = SKY installed standard

1 x Upstairs very old one cant remember where its pointing.

Just got a D500s and flashed Darkstar from here.

On the old dish upstairs when I select Astra 28.2e & 19.2e it scans but comes up with some strange channels? Is this not where Sky resides?

Is my dish pointing elsewhere and if so how do I find out exactly where?

Why am I able to scan 28.2e and 19.2e but nothing in between? I know, I know, really need some basic lessons.

When I do the same via the dish downstairs it picks up Sky channels.

Sorry guys I am sure its probably something so obvious and stupid, would be grateful for a little explanation

I assume 19.2e was old analouge Sky which migrated onto 28.2?

Why is it picking up 28.2e and all those Spanish channels?

What can I pick up on 19.2e other then those Spanish channels? I want it pointing ideally to Thor 1.0w.

Your old dish will be an old Sky Analogue dish.

They used to broadcast from 19.2 East so that's why you are picking up the stuff from 19.2, you'll probably be missing some channels on 19.2 as your old analogue LNB probably won't be able to handle the higher frequencies.

if you change your lnb you will be able to get sky germany good for 3pm football

So the LNB has to be changed.

Should I leave it on 19.2 or is there a better place to point it at like Thor? For Discovery, Movie channels, hear Germany Premiere channels are good etc.

Forgive me if I am talking out my wotsit, theres so much to learn.

Just been looking into something...You would get a ticket if you were parked on one of them???? Prefixed with a letter. Wonder if theres any good established ones.

the best sats are 19e,13e and 1w then maybe 16e
german premire is sky germany now
and as for your other question i had one 2 many smokes to work it out

I was referring to cline thing.

Sky Germany it will remain at then, what else would I need for this = I assume the only option is "sharing"

What does that option do in the top left of the bluebutton screen that says update Keys in Darkstar 2.

Does it like update keys for all the cams that are installed on the box?

Bloomin Cable ws childs play in comparison.

the keys dont open anything on 19e for that my friend you will have to google cardsharing
