does anyone know how to record stuff from sly+hd onto external hardrive is this possible my sky hd is almost full want to transfer some stuff over cheers

there is only a 'copy' facility where by you select the recordings to be copied onto an external device. ie vcr dvdr ect. basically just like dubbing. press copy and then record and it records thru the scart connection. nothing other than that. you cant export the raw files as they are encrypted.

Can you not take out the HDD and put in your PC as a secondary storage device then copy it??

not to sure if i heard if you copy program that was recorded on hdd and copied it elsewhere you cant view it without the sky box to decode it,nice if you could on a 1t drive.
