I was thinking of buying a 1.2 channel master, h to h motor and a vbox. I have installed fixed dishes for myself ,but never a motorized setup. I have a diseq motor on a 1.1, but its not great, i also have a 96cm channel master on thor along with a 60 cm triax for sky and i would just like to narrow my setup down to something good. I would just like too know is this 36v h2h motor difficult to set up, and as i im ireland what is the first satellite i would have to set the dish and motor on first. I could get an installer, but too much money and from what i have got installed in the past its never a good neat job, and also i like when i can do it myself as its a big hobbie for me.
info on setting up a 1.2 channel master with h2h motor and v box

hi m8, all the basics are the same for any motorised dish but with a large dish like the andrews 1.2 and h-to-h mount you will need a heavy duty 3 inch wall mount or a large t and k arrangement if its going high up on your house. also theres the safety aspect with the weight and size of the components its advisable to get a friend to help you with the install and also if i was going to attempt a large install like that id look into a tower scaffold as it would make things alot easier and safer. do you really need a andrews/cm dish? as gibertini do a 1.2 meter aluminium dish which has a good reputation and if used with a seperate feedhorn/poloriser and quality lnb i cant see there being much difference in signal gathering capabilities. as for which satellite to set up on its the same one your installer used for your other motorised dish. regards mdtLast edited by mdt; 13 March, 2010, 23:09.DM800HDSE SIM 2.10. I have an andrews 96cm on a 3 inch pole 2 foot in the ground, but the 1.2 wont work there as its to close to the fence to swing anymore than 5 degrees west, as its already on 1 west, so ill go further down the garden and do the same only a lot further from the fence. I was looking at the gibertin 1.2 and they look good, but the andrews/channel master has always stuck in my head all these years from visiting the local cable tv's mast were they had a few 1.2's installed. I'll read a bit more into it before i even think of buying. Thanks.Comment
