    Dish USALS Allignment

I am going to feel stupid posting this but I had my dish and receiver working to pick up satellites signals on which I know I can receive.

But for some reason i was unable to pick up some HD channels so i decided to use a channel list that someone has uploaded to a forum. i then put this onto my TM6800 box but my USALS no longer works.

When i select a channel on 28.2E my dish seems to go passed this point on the motor and goes to 40E. Currently it aligned up with 28.2E but I have turned off all motorised communication systems.

I have tried to restore default channels and reset to factory settings as well as re-flashing the receiver but none of these are helping to correct the problem
    Any advice would be helpful.

    Thank you

hi m8, have you re-enterd your usals co-ordinates as the person who uploaded the channel list will have different lat/long settings from you.

Yeah, this never changed for me, co-ordinates they still related to my location.

try resetting the motor itself most have a small hole that you can insert a thin rod into to reset.
the power must be on and drive the motor to 0 degrees via the manual button then press the reset for a couple of seconds then turn power off and back on.

if your dish has gone back to zero then re-enter your lat/long settings in the usals menu and then select say 13east and if everything is set up correctly then the dish will swing to hotbird 13 east.

further to MDTs answer,if in the motorised settings menu with say 13E or any other sat in the top line when you drop down to the bottom line "go to" does the motor move correctly? if its going to reference ok there cant be much wrong.are you moving the motor by channel selection from favorites or by the sat button menu.also you could try re-installing the official software via rs232 null modem instead of usb.
