if its a samsung then i guess the engineer has put you an old style pvr4 in,which is a suitcase of a box with a small 160gig hard drive....for the last 3 weeks we have been putting in only amstrad pvr5,s which are physically smaller in size, but have a hard drive of 250gigs,and are 3d ready also with a s/ware update....as far as i,m aware only amstrad are making these at this time....if the box was a plain brown cardboard box, then he,s put you a re-conditioned unit in!!!!

It came in a White box with 250gb on it, the other one he brought in was in the same packaging which I've kept hold of. There is no model "number apart from skyhd written on it. On the back of the unit itself it has the silver label with all the details and the manufacture period of January 2010.

The packaging has a Sami barcode printed on it so I can only guess it's a genuine new 250gb box.

It works and the picture quality on sd and HD is better than the vm unit so I'm happy as a pig in poo regardless.
