hi i am a newbie which one is best to buy dream or techn to use with old sly dish till i go motorised

I prefer dream to technomates but thats just my personal favourite.

Try both and see what you prefer.

Even if you dont have a sky card you can get a Tring card in there, and come the new season watch football, or even xxx.

Why the mention of Sky? You dont even know if he is from England?

With a Dreambox you can do thing with it like watch the TV over your PC network, and software allows you to do other things as well...Well better then the TM in my opinion.

Didnt Sky used to be at 19.2.. So if its poijting there it could easily be used to pick it up. Also, he does mention that he is going motorised......

I agree on the Dreambox for choice. I think if he was talking about an ancient dish pointing at 19.2 or even if he's from anywhere else in Europe it's usually mentioned in the post. So i ASSUMED he was talking about 28.2

If your going for a dreambox make sure its not a clone , me and lots more had problems, all sorts of weird things happening to the box. I am goin for the tm 600 as i hear its good, and at least it will drive my motor better than the dreambox 500s did.

wasn't a sky dish back when sky was at 19.2E.. it was a satellite dish..

a sky dish is a sky minidish..

no good putting a motor on a sky dish mate, it wont pick up signals from the weaker satellites..

YOU ARE WRONG! Everyone thinks this. Whatever works in a E1 DreamBox will work in a E1 Technomate!

YOU ARE WRONG! Everyone thinks this. Whatever works in a E1 DreamBox will work in a E1 Technomate!

Sorry to p!ss on your chips champ but I really dont think you could get a TM1500ci or 5400 or 6900 to stream over your home network, or load cccam, or MGcam, or totdal football.. You could the TM500 or 600 but not...

I guess that is a dig at me.... The guy was after advice and you didnt offer any, rather than saying the options you mentioned Sky... Sky tv is not the be all and end all. You can do a lot of things with a dreambox that you cant with a TM...(500 exception).
