as weeman said m8 its this

          Code:
BOXKEY: /dev/ttyUSB0 xx xx xx xx
          your original was like this

          Code:
BOXKEY : /dev/ttyUSB0 xx xx xx xx
so he removed a "space" after BOXKEY to make it correct

I get it now.......can anyone please confirm that these are correct for a smargo USB reader

            SERIAL READER: /dev/ttyUSB0 smartreader+

            SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/ttyUSB0 3430000

BOXKEY: /dev/sci0 xx xx xx xx

I cannot unterstand why there is ttyUSB0 & sci0. Is this correct ? Would they not be the same ??

Only for the card slot you are using the card in that the boxkey belongs to, so if you are using the internal receiver card slot then:

BOXKEY: /dev/sci0 xx xx xx xx

or if you are using the Smargo on an USB port then:

BOXKEY: /dev/ttyUSB0 xx xx xx xx

It's one or the other, you don't need it for both. If you've got a receiver with 2 internal card slots then it's slightly different again, it would be:

BOXKEY: /dev/sci0 xx xx xx xx

                    or

BOXKEY: /dev/sci1 xx xx xx xx

depending on if it's the first or second card slot.
