    Insat 4A in the uk?

    Hi everyone,

I was wondering if it is possible to get insat 4a @83 degrees east in the west midlands, if so how would i go about this and what size dish would i need.

I want this so i can receive tata sky from india. I have already got their receiver with 1 year subscription already paid on it as i have recently come back from india

I have phoned up a couple of satellite companys who have said it is not possible, is this true or what

    Thanks for your help.

The sat is below the horizon, no signal can get through the earth, so no go for you.

          Hi shirehorse99

I can pick up Asia TV at 57east (11181V, 2590), but not for much longer as next doors silver birch is beginning to show foliage. All the way over to the data channel on 61west (12562V, 27000) strength and quality readings only. The above fespite the centre of my dish being only 7ft off the ground, but I am lucky as I overlook an open sports feild.

Would it be possible in anyway to pickup channels on Insat 4B/4CR, NSS 6 (India) to england. e.g some1 in europe picking up above sat signal and some how transferring that signal to england.

Is there anyway sat signals can be transfered via e.g internet?

            Thanks in advance

Just been googling and may have found a possible solution
            IPTV or TV over IP

            Any1 know more about this?

there is no way you will get insat 4b in the uk as it is below the horizon and footprint does not appear to go past Iran, as to iptv most give arabic channels I believe via broadband.
