hi all
i have treated myself to a 200hz 47' tv and got a samsung dvd/surround sound and im running a starview box
i have connected the dvd to tv using a high end hdmi cable and on the starview there is no hdmi slot so have to use a scart ,i then plugged it into the dvd hoping to play my starview through it to get surround sound but cant get a picture
help please

if your dvd/surround sound stb has got L+R phono input sockets then use a standard left and right phono lead from the back of the starview L+R audio out socket and plug them into the audio sockets on the dvd/surround and select aux input on the dvd/surround and you will get audio from the starview to go through the surround speakers. you still need a scart lead from the starview to the tv for your picture. you could also use the s/pdif from the starview to the dvd/surround if the dvd/surround has a s/pdif input instead of the L+R phono arrangement. regards mdt
