Both images look exactly the same on my SlyHD Box with no difference unless you do need one of the new 3D TV's but usually you can see the difference without the glasses.
We have 3D glasses.

How did you get it working on SkyHD box? as it only does Symbol Rates 22000 or 27500 and the 3D channel has a symbol rate of 29500?????????
Also, are you saying if you get shutter glasses you dont need to get a 3D ready tv???

Not sure but from what I've read, active shutter glasses do the same thing as the 3D TV's which brings the 2 images together to form a 3D picture. This is only what I've read so don't quote me on it as I'm not buying a new 3DTV just for 1 channel LOL.
