To be honest if you are going down the satellite root, you are better to learn and install the stuff yourself, then you will have a better understanding of everything, The differeance between Cable and Satellite is there are Hundreds of providers across Europe on different satellites with cable you only have the one.

The whole idea of changing over to satellite tv is to get Free Channels like Sky, and receive Sports, Movies & Entertainment but for this you will need to be able to move the Dish to different satellites.

First thig you need to know what do you want to get ?

You can not get anything remotly interesting without understanding CardSharing.

Secondly you will need a Receiver with Linux including ethernet port & a internet / router Subscription.

    Do you want HD ?

What Satellites do you want to use this will determine the size of the dish you require and LNB setup or Motor.

You can not get Sky UK as you have in the past with Cable.

Before you even contemplate calling someone understand eveything you need first, buy off ebay or the internet and then get someone to install it for you or they will charge an arm and a leg .

    Recomendation:

    A linux Receiver TM600 PVR

    ?92.77

HD receiver will cost more ....

80cm Complete Motorised Satellite Dish Pack Starting price ?50.21
