New Satellite Dish Required, Please Help!

Hi all

Basically I'm interested in getting a satellite dish so I can view all the channels. I'm told by a local dealer that it would come around ?350 including installation. He is also stating that there would be a ?100 charge at the end of each year because he needs to update something. I know nothing about satellite stuff so I'm just wondering if somebody could enlighten me on this please.

Sound like a ripoff m8 especially the charge a year later...

After you do a little study on what you need, buy off ebay or the internet then call someone to put it up or do it yourself.

even a pay server doesn't need maintenance and checking every year

what i meant was the ?100 charge was for 12 months access then after 12 months the line expired and then another needed to be added. theres a outfit in manchester that does it. still i agree with everybody and think the op should give the guy a wide berth!
