    HD Card

    Hi All

I've been reading many threads about all types of HD receivers and the comparison between them. Did any of you think rather buying a receiver buy an HD card and put it in a spare PC ( low spec. should be fine) and use it as a receiver? A friend of mine is doing it and you can get cccam for Windows, you will need quote good graphc card though.

    Any thougts?

The Hauppage Nova HD card and Technisat HD 2 are good cards. You can run CCcam using Hadu as client.

Dual core CPU and 2gb Ram should do it with the proper codecs. As poster above I had a mini itx Zotac board with the ION chipset and it worked fine on HD.
