sat dish?

i have a small sat dish and when i get all the sky channels on it they are all scrambled including all free channels bbc etc am i on the wrong satallite for free sat as it is doing my head in at the caravan in lake district would appreciate any advice

BBC will show on all Sat boxes no matter because they are FTA and not encrypted on 28.2E.

Do you get no signal on any of the channels you try to view?

yeah it sounds like you are on either wrong sat or no sat.
how do you set the dish up?if you set your box to 10.773 H 22000 fec5/6 this is bbc 1 london then either point your dish in the same direction as other caravaners as a starting point and move the dish up/down and L/R til you find the channel.another good set up channel is sky news @12207 V 27500 fec2/3.or use a compass to find south and take that as 12 o"clock and start searching around 10/11 o"clock.
as said you do not need a card and any FTA stb will pick up lots of channels on 28.2E.

i have done the above and i do pick up bbc itv etc but i can not view as they have $ in front of title ex $bbc1, $itv etc and on the screen it says scrambled?

Thet are free channels, there will be no $ sign in front of them. What receiver you using.
