Looking for some help on a new HD box

I'm thinking about getting a new box and was thinking of a package linux based HD system. As always, the question is which one?

As we have AZbox, Spiderbox, Dreambox originals, Dreambox Clones, Technomates etc. On top of that which image, add on, plug in...

I've been going through the various forums, only to feel more confused than when I started. I has been moving towards a AZbox, but the questionable level of support is worrying. Then all the info on the new Technomate came out.

Are the Dreamboxes worth their price, or is the Spiderbox the way to go especially since Magic has joined the Spider team?

DM800 is a good box , down in price now to about ?180..got a good EPG , room for a HDD , so you can record, and plenty of support..best way to go at the min..cheers satcat
