Hi,
My current set up is a Next Inf receiver and a fixed 80cm dish with 2 LNB's set to 13'E (Hot Bird) and 19.2'E (Astra).
The Next Inf was initially an old Technomate (TM-5500 D) receiver but I converted it to a Next a few years ago in order to hack encrypted channels.
When I first did the conversion it was easy to clear encrypted channels on the Next. All I had to do was find keys on the internet and input them into the receiver. Nowadays it is much harder and the fact that it is a Turkish receiver makes it very difficult to find support for it in English.
I have recently discovered that I can set the Next up to view channels through card sharing using the Newcamd protocol, but, although I have had this working once or twice through WSP (Windows Sharing Pack), I am struggling to find a reliable free or pay server with a large range of channels.
I am now wondering if my only option is to buy a new receiver. I have seen Spiderbox's, Darkbox's, Eagle Linux etc advertised but I don't know if these receivers will make it any easier to clear channels as I don't understand a lot of the terminolgy used to describe them!
My main question is - Do these new receivers clear channels by any other means than card sharing? If not, am I better off just sticking with my Next as this already has card sharing?
If I do have to buy a new receiver can anyone recommend a good cheap one that will unblock many channels? (considering I am not bothered about HD)
Loll
