Monoblock LNB and 4 way DiSEqC switch

I have 2 dishes, one at 28.2 and the other at hotbird , using a 4 way DiSEqC switch. I want to change the LNB on the hotbird dish to have a monoblock for 13/19 degrees. Now I assume this is also switched by DiSEqC internally. Im using a Dreambox dm800. With this work with both the switch and the mono block? If so how do I configure it

    Thanks in advance

have you considered putting a bracket on for another seperate lnb on the dish you use for hotbird, this would avoid any confict and would go through your existing 4 way switch.
you could also consider motorising that way you will have access to lots of sats.

My dish is from the old analog era, its a Pace dish. I'm not sure if the holder for twin LNB's is compatible with the arm. Anyone know of a good supplier of dual LNB holders?

The only other thing I can think of is to use a combiner to combine positions LNB1 and LNB2 on the switch to the single feed for the mono block, then have my 28.2 on position 3 or 4 on the switch,
When the signal is sent to set position 1, the LNB and the switch will move to position 1, and likewise with position 2. it doesn't matter which position the 4 way switch is for positions 1 or 2, because is still connected either way.... but obviously I will lose a bit in the combiner

most sat dealers will sort out what you want have a look at Satellite systems, satellite dishes, Satellite Superstore UK, satellite advice, training videos, Low prices. they are not the cheapest but their on line cat will give you an idea of whats available now.

Hi Marvin. You can benefit from my mistakes. I have 2 monoblocks one for 6 deg. and one for 3 deg. separation and have had little or no success with these probably down to me and not the monoblocks. The handiest way out is as Dick suggests to put a bracket on the pipe leading out to the existing lnb and put a single lnb onto it and tune it to 19 E remembering that the dish is a mirror image ie. 19E the new lnb should be to the left hand side as you face the dish. The problem with some of the monoblocks is the thickness or narrowness of the neck of the lnbs which involves all kinds of shimming and alterations not to mention the fine tuning to get them to work. Set the 19e to No. 3 in the diseqc part of the menu. Or you could put the bracket on the 28E dish for to get 19E and that will leave you free to put another bracket on the 13E dish to get you 16E or 9e OR 7e. Hope this is of some help. On the diseqc switch you will need a separate cable from each lnb so if you presently have 28 on dis. 1 and 13e on dis. 2 then as I stated put 19 on no.3 and your fourth choice on 4. I`m assuming, that like me, you have 2 80cm. dishes.
