All recordings are encrypted and can only be decrypted by the Box of the recorder if the Card is still active in the box.

Read the Rules here; they apply to Everyone.

The way I make DVD's from Sky programs it to use the "Copy" function, to copy the program from Sky box to my Dvd/hdd recorder.

This was already answered in posts 2 and 3!

The usb ports on Sky boxes are disabled and the recording are encrypted on the HDD so can only be played back on the Sky box with an active viewing card.
