    Quick Question

    I have a Cable Eurovox, obviously Nagra 3 will take over soon enough, but was wondering if i get a satellite fitted and buy a dreambox or whatever the satellite versions are called, will i be able to receive channels? Or does Nagra 3 effect them as well?
    Also have a few questions;
    Is Satellite Sky and Cable Virgin Media?
    Will I have to change from VM to Sky?

    Thanks for your time, complete Noob with these things.

    yes sky is a satellite platform.but satellite is much more than sky there are thousands of channels out there to watch either FTA or with viewing cards but forget N3 its not hacked,I"d have a bit more of a read about it before commiting to any particular box.

      virgin is one provider (well a few ntl telewest ect) and sat there are hundreds of providers with many different encryptions with nagra 3 being one that you know as will be effecting you soon in sat there are several types Bliss , Cryptoworks , Irdeto , Seca ect to name a few then version 1,2,3 and 4 in some cases and then multicrypt channels which transmitt in more than one encryption type.
      few providers open with keys but not many anymore rcs (digiTV),bulsat ,c+ nl to name a few but not sky uk that uses a encryption system in it's own league
