sky contract ?

hi guys called sky asked of the good deal, i was then told as we have sky at our address the offer wasn't for us, then the woman went on to say if we cancel it that sky will not open an account at our address for anyone for 1 year, our sky box is more Than 8 years old and how can sky say what they did as we are not under any contract its blackmail
anybody know what the score is

Cancel it... bearing in mind you pay in advance, you'll still be switched on for upto a month, when it goes off phone them back up as a new customer and get the better deals.

thats the thing mate even thoI I have not under the 12mounth contract they said if i cancel it i cant reorder it for one year, nobody at this address would beable to open an account as sky will put a ban on my address, we had the sky for years maby 8 and we are out of contract

It's the usual Sky customer services bullsh*t mate.

They're in business to make money, blacklisting an address for 12 months would be bad for their profit margin.

They are lying, just trying to scare you so not to cancel. Ignore what they said and cancel and order after a week pssoibly under your partner's name.

Im in customer services and no way would we say that

Sales and turnaround would defo say this crap they dont have a clue

if you dont mention sky is at the address in the first place they will carry on with any order

the system cant ban any address or name

try signing up with your name spelt a different way that beats the search in your area

ie. Edward = Eddie

Doin it online has its advantages but sometimes causes a lot of hassle especially with offers they appear online but dont actually go onto the sky system

and 9 times out of 10 your just given the run around from sky to sort it
