How future proof is the VU+ DUO ??

Looking to take the plunge and spend 400 on a Vu+ duo. Just worried that there may not be much suport for it in years to come. As i want to keep this box for many years, i hope it doesnt become obsolete.

It uses almost the exact same hardware as DM8000, you can actually run some images made for DM8000 on the Vu+ like the new Gemini 5.0.

your not mad it has twin tuners ,you can play divex and avi files thro the usb it can open up a whole new world for you the images from nabilo,enigma pli endless amounts of them support for these boxs are everywhere its a well made box i got the black remote with mine

It's a very safe buy compared to other receivers like Azbox that never lived up to their promises.

Vu+ duo Format resolution is the only thing thats not good from what i can see @ 576p, 720p, 1080i.Azbox Video resolution is better than all the rest by a mile.Iv seen providers in past mess about on resolution to stop people watching from their country.Azbox has been good if im asked,blind scan was a load of bullsh*t as nothing was done.Satellite box that might well become obsolete will have bad Video resolution.
