does multi room need phone line?

we are getting sky installed in a few weeks and I just got a letter from them saying that "you need to keep your sky box connected to a phone line at all times" the trouble is we are wanting to put the second box in our bedroom and we don?t have a phone connection there. I have had a look at these wireless phone extension things but there a bit pricey. Is it right that the box needs to be connected all the time to a phone line and more importantly will the engineer install the box if there is no phone line in our room or I?m I going to have to buy one of these phone extenders ? i found this one on maplin

the engineer will install a phone extension from the main telephone socket to the point where you get the box installed

engineers are fly they might if the run is long tell you to run an extension or they will leave you a length long enough to plug in now and then

dont allow this make sure the actually run the extension save you a lot of hassel in the long run and as a bonus puts a phone extension point in your room so u can put a phone in there aswell

    cheerz now

Yup... Make sure they do, they are known for trying to get away with that.

Well I think if the installer doesn't fit it it's their problem.
We had 2nd room and they ran telephone wire badly so it caught in door, had a letter, told them about wire, said they'd send engineer, they didn't never heard again.

            thats just luck for u

sky can make u exempt from callbacks but usually only do so when they've had several engineers out to look at and

by that time they have already fully charged u for ur multiroom box and its a nightmare for them to refund it
