SKY + HD Installation

Do you need to have a phoneline for this to be installed, ive read about the internet, some people are saying yes, some saying no. Ive got a BT line in the house, but its not active and dont facy paying BT ?125 to activate it.

When I tried to order online a while ago it had the option to pay a ?25 fee for install if you didnt have a phoneline, i can't see that option no more.

I've had this installed & it's not connected to a phone line, the installation engineer used his mobile for what I believe was activation of the card.

when i ordered my install i also asked about this the woman said to me 'o just tell the engineer its being fixed within the next week or so, and u wont get charged' thats what i did and not been billed the ?25

Yeah I ordered online and chosen the option that i'm having my live activated in 6 weeks.

Just ordered Sky World in HD, with free HD box and installation for ?29pm

make sure and i cant stress this enough you have had this confirmed its ?29pm for the full 12 months as me and my mum took the half price offer and have had nothing but problems with them trying to charge full price and now instead of it being ?29pm for me my first bills ?30.50 plus ?28 i paid up front and my second bill is ?8.20 so if you look at it my first two bills aint ?29pm and theve now done something to it so instead of half price hd pack for the full 12 the first 6 are free then full wack

works out same would have just rather paid half the whole time

I didnt use the 6 month free mate, I used the friends and family promo for someone who works there where I get everything half price for the 12 months.

but they said it was only 1 month then they messed about wi it to put it right n in end ended up doin it 6 months free but the code was same as urs for 12 months half price

to confirm you do not need phoneline to get sky installed. think it says it somewhere on sky.com site

the only way you need a phoneline is if you want multiroom

just ake sure the engineer phones sky to pair the card or they might try to charge you ?25 for the pleasure of activating the card

when i got sky hd i took out the sky phone as well i think it was about ?30 to get connected and that was on a bt line.
