For english footy the cheapest you will get for a good varity of EPL would be from a Nova Greece/Cyprus next year as they will once again show 3pm, but cards are about ?800 but a pirated Gamma card can get you this or free.

Check out the likes of the Spiderbox and Protek 9600 or better still Protek Unixbox 500. All three of these will open Nova once connected to the internet and activated....

I was thinking about the spiderbox, and other linux boxes, but to be honest, i tried c/s for like 2 months, and didnt really like it, i dont think it was my net, i got 20mb sky, so i just think the whole idea isnt good, because of freezing. but hey thats just me.

oh and also would i need a CAM to you the card, i got a technomate 1500ci, willing to upgrade if needed.

                    Cheers, Sambhi

Go for the Protek Unixbox 500 would be my advice, you've then got the best of both worlds as this box works just like a DM500 using a custom Gemini image, so if you decide you wan't to go down the CS route either now or in the future you are ready to, as this will run all the usual and popular softcams.... Spiderbox are a great receiver BUT if your main reason to buy is for Nova alone then the Unixbox 500 better fits the bill, it's SO easy to activate the connection to the Protek server and this server is very stable and should be more or less freeze free (if you've had problems in the past this is most probably down to a poor server) and once you have this receiver it's a lifetime connection thing, as long as the Protek server keeps running so will your connection to it!

It's not just Nova of course there are various other packages, ideal for football, movies and XXX which just about covers everybody!

I guess i could do that, would save me abit of bob, but the unibox, is it like the spiderbox, in the fact it has the "gift", also what are all the packages open on unibox, (football only)

                        Cheers, Sambhi

The Unixbox is a box made for Protek that works just like the original Dreambox DM500 BUT also allows connection to the Protek server, so yes it's like the Spiderbox in that respect, as in you connect to the Internet and it will open a lot of packages.....

Difference is the Spiderbox will open you more packages but the 'gift' is for 12 months only, after that you have to make your own arrangments etc. The gift is only part of the appeal of a Spiderbox, they offer a whole host more... The Protek Unixbox main attraction is the packages it will open once connected to the internet (yes it's CS but a closed one way thing). It opens LOTS of popular Euro packages (though not as much as a Spiderbox) and it's an unlimited thing, no 12 months cut off, as with all these things its no guarantee of course, it works while it works, but the Protek one has been running years now and working great, no reason to suspect that's about to change....

Check here for what's working and what's not:
                          Code:
                          http://www.xvision.skynolimit.com/nanoxx/onlinelist/Output.php
There may also be a few other channels and packages it'll open which they don't like to mention on there, Nova is one of them.

Wow, this box sounds really good.

so if i got the box, would i download software, or anything?

PM me, if you cant answer that in open forum.

                            Cheers, Sambhi

Basically setup of the Unixbox is so easy, you have the usual setup and scanning to do of satellite, channel list etc. but as this is essentially a DM500 you can also use all the popular channel editors and the rest to download, re-arrange and upload channel lists to the receiver, should you choose to...

Activating the connection to the Protek server is as easy as a few button presses through the menu once the box is connected to the internet, you don't need to download or setup complicated files, it's literally a few button presses and you get printed instructions on doing this.

I should point out though that is you are purchasing from us then this receiver is strictly supplied as FTA only and we will NOT send out activated for connection to any third party servers, hope you can understand why we MUST stick to this stance on this product
