Victim of the dreaded Nagra 3 looking for a fresh start with satelite help required..

    Hi all

As the title suggests i have finally become a victim of the dreaded nagra 3 but unlike most im not bitter it was nice while it lasted and im prepared for the next big challenge........ Satellite......

Ive no knowledge of what is required of me to make this step but am fully prepared to dive in head first like i did a few years ago with the d box's......all i need is a little help from the great minds of Digital kaos to set me on the road to success.

Im not really that bothered about movies or xxx really (that's what the internet s for) but i am a big sports fan..mainly football...and that's what i used my d box for....now this has ended i have decided that with the world cup being on FTA TV ive got the whole summer to try and make the step into satellite.

From reading the thread's over the last few months a lot of the information on here to a beginner like myself means nothing, even the stickies. without wanting to break any rules on here My question is what do i need to get started? obviously, a dish, a receiver and a subscription of some sort maybe???? what costs are involved???? if this cant be answered can somebody point me the right direction i dont mind putting in the ground work to get what i require i just need a push in the right direction

Please remember one day probably many moons ago you were like me so any help will be much appreciated

its a big step and maybe cost but in the end may be worth it,
remember if you get a fixed dish you only get what is on that
so maybe a motorized dish and and as long as you are not in appartments you may be ok [ check local area if you need any permission.
next i would think you may need a hd box as sports look great in hd but box is more expensive.
other option is sky as they have special offers and codes to pull in new punters as many have switched from cable to sat.

    like the one underneath

      Get yourself a dm800S or 600 or 500s model.
Buy yourself a dish and put it up.
And sub to a cardshare provider...dont need to pay sky for a thing
      Setup: 2x Dreambox 800HD | 3x Dm500S on Motorised dish Setup
