a bloke on another forum is picking up badr 6 easily in south wales on a 2.4m.....80% signal quality and far better reception than he gets off 7w for showtime..even in bad weather he,s hardly any rain fade compared to 7w....dont know how much the signal drops off as we go north?? but looking at the footprints badr 6 should be harder to pick up than nilesat for him!! but isnt...so maybe if you have a decent size dish(especially in the south) you may be able to get a lock on this bird

I've got a 240cm channel master and have used it for showsports for the last couple of years.
Now AD Sports are using Atlantic Bird 4 (7.2e) and not Nilesat so you can forget picking this up the UK, you would need a massive dish.

The bummer for me is I can't try 26.0e with my 240cm dish, I have a fence in the way so well gutted.

you will be ok keano...atlantic bird 7.2w is only being used until nilesat 201 is launched on the 3/4 of august,and this will be a direct replacement for nilesat 101...after this at/bird will be moved to serve elswhere....so 201 will then take over abu,s chnls,and will be truly on 7w with a similar footprint if not better than 101,s...so all is not lost...

i want to but i need to re-locate the dish first...and if unsuccessful its gonna be a bugger to set up on 7w for the h,s again..it took ages to get right....but come august and nilesat 201 going up..if i have no joy there ,will try badr6 and let you guys know how it goes....ps...its me...

I am using a 2.4m dish for Badr 6 26 East,in Swansea, i can confirm i have signal on 11766 H 27500 new channels came up on the scan Ad Sport 3-7 Hd came up.And on 11823 V 27500 Ad Sport 8 HD,Ad Wild Hd,Ad Nat Geo Adv Hd,Ad Fox Movies Hd,Ad Sky News Hd.Signal came in around 70%-72%

Very informative but where can you get a box and be sure it will be activated properly.

A few dealers on the net are selling AD sports package.

Have a look at lj's.

It is new system of Irdeto also, the card will only work with the box it comes with. No c/s or any emu with this new card.
