Card Reader

Never used external card reader before, I want to buy an official card like JSC or Sly and get the card read by an external card reader, is Smargo best option? What encryption does Smargo support? Is there anything else to buy apart form the card and card reader?

Most lilkey it will be JSC so I wll go for Smargo but still don't know if Smargo will read all cards apart (excpet Sly) and can it read Iredoto or Viaaccess encryption? Is it plug and play?

hi im thinking of getting one of these cardreaders for my sly card is there a certain one to get as ive seen a couple of different ones and are they easy to set up. also can i ask why u recomend this one over the smargo thanks

Omnikey 3121 is probably the best cardreader for Sky UK because it gives the best times (times as in time it takes to reader the card) but it'll only work with NewCS, so you'll need to use and set this up first, which can be a little harder than CCcam to master, but is possible.... The Smargo will work with NewCS and CCcam and most official cards, so it's probably the best all round cardreader.

thanks for your reply i will probably go for the smargo cardreader then because im not to sure how to set newcs up and i allready have cccam 213

i dont wont to drift off topic but if i wanted to change to cccam+newcs how do i go about setting it up which version is it i need. i read that cccam reads the card through newcs or something like that any info will help thanks
