    Advice needed, once again.

Hi guys, now that nag3 is upon me im looking at alternatives. I just need something cheap and cheerful thats going to get me some movies channels back. I know satalite is the way to go, and i know ive been spoilt by my amazing kryptview box that alot of you told me to get, which has served me for 3 good years without a problem. Im really stuck now as to what to do about loosing all my channels. I dont like the idea of CS or streaming thru my net so i guess its just down to sat. Can someone please point me in the right direction as im going dizzy reading so many different things. Thanks again....

hi, unfortunatly there is only a small amount of english lanuage channels available via emu/keys although things are always changing. my advice would be a tm600 receiver,tm2600 motor, triax td 88cm dish and a smart titanium 0.1db lnb. you should be able to get this for about ?200. you really need to look into c/s but we cant discuss the workings of it as its against the rules. you could also look at the spiderbox sd 5000 aswell. you will need to connect your receiver to a router/bb connection if you want all the best channels. have a very good read on the web and then just ask when you need advice. regards mdt

Well to be honest viewing cards are not so expencive and far cheaper than a year on Sky, Have a look at the link below most of these have a good selection of movies, Sport & entertainment channels

Foreign Viewing Cards, Football, Movies & Entertainment!

Other than that go down the Cardsharing root, either way you will end up spending 200-300 + quid , which ever way you do go you will spend money and will continue to do so, over the years with either new cards each year or with new Receivers.

Others would just consider a Sky, Ntl, Virglin Subscription after all it can all amount to the same money over a year or two, with the way technology moves on .....

I thought all that i had to do was get a dish and a decent lnb, get a dreambox similar sat STB and then i could get all my channels back. I didnt relise that i would have to get a viewing card also

sat is not open like cable was, so its difficult to get them lovely channels for free on sat. to be right you should buy a card and share it with someone then take a share of theirs so you have 2 cards for the price of one or take it fuirther and share with someone else and so on
