Technomate Recievers?

Im looking to upgrade my dm500s to a newer box and have been looking at the technomate recievers. Got a few questions regading them.

1. I see that they are linux based, so are they similar to the dreambox, do they work by clines?

2. What options have i got if i wanted a twin tuners with HD? Is my budget of ?200 reasonable.

3. Are the EPG's better than the dreamboxes?

I think if you want a Linux receiver with HD and a twin tuner you will have to consider putting more money into your budget.

If you go for an older model receiver you could be putting yourself in a position of having to upgrade your receiver again in no time as the technology moves on pretty fast in the receiver world.

To be honest im not really fussed about HD, im motre than happy with standard defination.

But i would prefer a box with twin tuners. I was looking at the dreambox 7025 which can be had for around ?200 on ebay.

Is there a technomate with twin tuners without HD?

Yeah there is but they cost as much if not more than a linux HD or others I have previously stated above.

If your just looking for a receiver with twin tuners and are not interesred in opening encrypted channels buy a Freesat receiver, other than that buy the older version Dreambox off ebay.... Your not going to get much with 200 quid especially when it comes to twin tuners.

The TM600 is ?10 cheaper on ebay than from TM themselves
Also TM9100 super is cheaper as well.

From 9 months we have seen the Best pictures in then...but reality 50% of STB has all bugs never will be fix for only on reason NXP Cpu...dificult to copy all PLI ...


oother TM do not bothor to buy are old style types.

Vu +dou is the Best stb in Market and bere can be put in same stage like TM...
If you really like Linux go for it..


Another relaible Not Linux HD with all options easy to use is Spiderbox HD...you can use CCcam and Newcamd like MAster and Cleint and many other Otions..
This Stb is quality stb fantastic picure and blind scan and home net option and Home streaming from PC to TV...and many others....

Also a Tm600 is far more stable than a spiderbox..I know because i have both of them right here being used as i type this message
With refernece to your comments about CCCam and Newcamd i cannot comment because i had my last post removed about this subject...but if iceman325 want to pm me i will give him my personal opinion

I have tm600 and its stable, also spiderbox which is stable as well.
As for other things that spiderbox can do, it does them very well and is feature packed.
