I have dreambox 600PVR the dish is 60cm and the SNR is 86% problem is in evening the picture start breaking up. i have few trees infront off the house but they quite far away
any help world be great
you dont say what sats you are trying to receive but I"d swap that 60cm for an 80cm/1mt dish.as long as the trees are at least twice as far away as they are high they shouldnt be a problem.(and they would block the signal what ever time of day).snr should always be high its the quality that counts.

sorry its sky i want to watch also i have checked on ebay no Inline Amp 13-18 db
Usually linear amplifiers only are good to compensate long cables..if the signal with the receiver near the antenna is almost the same where the receiver is..it wont do anything.
Like leez says, it also amplify noise..
Use Dishpoint to check if the trees is blocking the signal..if it?s not blocking, try with another receiver..if the signal is the same, move the receiver near the antenna (to check cable problems)..if you get almost the same signal, try to adjust the antenna..if you cant get better results, try to change the LNB..
It?s a lot of IF?s, but the problem should be one of those.
