Aldi digital mini sat System

Hi Guys. I have just purchased the above system and plugged the old astra 2 Sat dish straight into the receiver and scanned for progs, loads of foreign channels but not the British BBC 1,2,3,4, etc
as per freeveiw channels.
should I get them or have i purchased the wrong box?

you should m8...you will just need to add the relevant transponders which arent on the box u have...look on lyngsat at 28.2e...and add em and ur sorted...

This is my first attempt at Sat's
Do I enter a trans number for each channel.if so how would I do this.?
Would I scan 28.2e first.?

I have worked out how to enter new settings. I would appreciate an example for say chan 4 settings to enter from Lyngsat page.
I have tried to enter the following but it did not workout

Freq = 10714
Symbol =22000
Pol is H

Dont have the aldi dish but they are the coorrect details tvj. If you get access to fec details try entering in those - Ch4 is 5/6 whereas your box will be probably set at default 1/2 and rescan.

Its the old 60cm.

Decided to take it back for a refund.
I am bitten though, maybe go for a better box with the refund.

I will re-connect the old pace box again for B/eurosport

If its the old type dish then it is more than likely to be pointed at Astra 1 at 19 degrees East rather than Astra 2 at 28 degrees East which is what you need for BBC 1,2,3,4 etc. Check the channels that you are receiving with list at Lyngsat to see which satellite you are aligned on.

Thank you for your info I'm sure you have hit the nail on the head.
The dish and old Pace box I use for watching B/euro-sport, all other channels are none English.
I have returned the Aldi kit, I think it is a very good buy,however I would never have used it myself when traveling. (impulse buy)
Will explore a box with HD. Bitten
