    Question about cams

Hi,I am hoping to get into the sat hobby and have been reading up on cams and cards etc. When using cams to receive sub services do you just use the cam in your receiver to activate the card once and then remove it after activation to allow you to activate more subs through cams?or do you have to insert and remove all your different cams manually each time you view a channel that requires a different cam and card?(in other words does a cam and card have to be inserted in your receiver at all times?)

what channels are you after. if you are using motorised system, buy something like a dreambox, get yourself a config file that covers many cards, and thats it. cccam2.14 is just a file, this is the easy way.

if you have a lot of official cards they need to be kept in cam at all times when in use. (or in the card slot of a stb which is simply a built in cam) a lot of boxes have 1x multicrypt card slot and a couple of CI slots for cams and the cam slots into this and the card slots into the cam and must remain like that to keep the encrypted channel open.
