    Camping satellite help needed please

I would like to buy a portable camping satellite system. In an ideal world I would like to purchase the one system to feed 2 TV's in 2 tents. Can anyone recommend which system will let me do this, I'm befuddled by the choice in Maplins. I would like to keep cost down too!

hi m8, if you are after keeping the cost down then stay out of maplins! if you are staying in the uk then id say get yourself a triax 64cm dish, some form of tripod stand, a good twin lnb and 2 cheap fta receivers. you could probably get the lot for around ?160. have a good look on the interweb/ebay ect and if you need anymore advise just ask. regards mdt

ebay is your friend for this kind of stuff , a twin LNB cab be picked up for under a tenner an sky dish for not much more , check you local freegle / free give away site for sky recievers they are 2 a penny . all you would need is the coax making up and a good pole/ stand for the dish .

you can use a s*y mini-dish and stb for the free [email protected] but for more flexability a cheap tm reciever and a 60cm dish and 0.2db lnb. you could try with a old s*y system and then upgrade later on if your happy with what you get. regards mdt

Right I have had a wander around the tinterweb as was suggested in my original thread and there is trillions of the stuff out there so questions are:
Is the stuff quoted above suitable for my needs as original poster?
Technomate receiver, which model is best for camping on Yorkshire East coast?
Is a 60cm dish the best for max viewing?
If I ask for a 0.2 LNB what am I likely to pay?
I gather I will need satellite coaxial and connectors is there anything specific to ask for?

Sorry for all the questions but so far you have all been a fountain of knowledge
