box keys

so I'm thinking of changing sat boxes going from a dm500 to a tm500 or 600, or may go for a dm800

my question if will the box key now work in other boxes?
will i need to run the same cc-cam in the new box?

as long as you run a image with the same capabilities on your new box then your box key will work. regards mdt

mate the tm500 and the dm500 are about the same and the dm600 is the same as the dm500 except its a pvr model ,if your going to get a newer model i would go for the dm800 (its hd) as for the boxkey its in your current cccam.cfg file so ftp it into your pc (using dream control center) when you get your new box and when the new box is flashed and setup ftp your cccam.cfg into it, there will be a cccam.cfg file in the new box just rename or delete it .also you will then have your cccam.cfg file saved in your pc if you change boxes again.

no mate the only free tv channels on satellite are via a patch or plain free to air channels .you can get pay channels not free but at a much lower price using a method that we cant speak about on the open forum,forum rules .
