well it seems to be a solid box with dual tunners and half the price of the dm800,good images and a few teams bringing out images,if i had the money i would get 1 straight away

He did not ask Linux ,He did not ask Other STB ,he did not ask to be after developments Linux STB ....

Spiderbox Distributor ,,,Never sold eny Protek and never will sell.

Spiderbox will be the best choise to whatch footy this season... and even to play with the otions of Linux boxex having...lice Cccam,newcamd and Master too..

My opinion only,DM 600pvr great box but not (HD),the DM500HD not too good (at the minute) DM800 very good but also very expensive for an original,spiderbox doesnt have the capabilities of the VU range,so i'm gonna give the VU a try,it does get good reviews on most the forums,,

Hi, I have a spiderbox and a tm600, like them both..

If the spiderbox had a menu system like the TM's (motor setup sat find ect) it would be a great box...picture and sound on the spider is great. The 'gift' is also good...i personally have had no issues. Over 80 HD channels all in English.

Menu is easy on spider, easier to set up than tm600 and i also have both.

I didnt say it wasnt easy, thats the point... making it easy as lost some of the technical bits...dont get me wrong I do like the the box and must say not many boxes take 30 minutes to setup..

Agreed it's all down to personal taste.
many moan about tm600 but I ahve never had any issues with mine.

i agree with you it's a total waste of time arguing over which box is best
as everyone has there own view on which is the best and for me the best
receiver is the one you prefer to own and use, but as for the spidderbox being to easy i think most who buy receivers with a gift just want it set up and then sit back and get the chns open thats why technomate standard models have had so many users for years it was the great patch support and easy menus etc: i would think that most members on forums are only now showing interest in linux receivers and what they can do now the providers encryptions are getting more secure and patches cards and cams are getting a thing of the past and i'm sure in future there will be more and more linux posts asking for help

totally agree with you benny/9 that the beauty of the forum people have different views/tastes etc and thats why there is so many different boxes out there to choose from to cater for these different needs.this and other sites would be so boringif everyone owned and only liked the one receiver.

I would have to recommedn the best box at present is the Dreambox 800HD for the features.
