The National Police have dismantled an international network of fraud digital television offering access to all platforms in Europe, in an operation in which they have been arrested in Spain 27 people and charged another 77, although research continues abroad through of Europol. According to the press release from the National Police, is a pioneering operation "against the latest and most modern type of 'hacking' of pay TV over the Internet. "
Those arrested, to whom they are accused of crimes against intellectual property and telecommunications fraud, using a system called 'cardsharing' redistributed the signal obtained from a single subscriber access card legitimate business facilities, residents or individuals.
They had 57 servers interconnected with each other in different countries enter the EU, of which 25 were located in Spain, in Cordoba, Ja?n, Sevilla, Cadiz, Almeria, Barcelona, Alicante, Murcia, Gran Canaria, Guip?zcoa, Mallorca, Madrid and Orense.
Police said each of these servers could send the images to over 150 users for 15 euro per month.
The management of this international network is done through instructions given through talks 'chat'. In turn, communication with the users is done through private forums in which they announced the schedule would be issued or handbooks were provided to solve the technical problems of users.
To view the content of pay TV users need not be subscribed to any legal signal, or even have the decoder provided by these companies and only required the use of a satellite dish, an Internet connection and decoder 'pirate'.
The research was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Technology (BIT), whose officers have spoken decoders 62, ten computers, fifteen hard drives, four 'pen drives', three routers, 34 boards and five readers.
