latitude and long

hi all
new to this,so not thick just clueless
my question is i have lat53.28 long2.41 now on the dish bracket there is a scale,and on the motor there is a similar scale,which one do i use for lat and which is long

Lat & Long

You can set the latitude on the dish bracket ~ you cannot set the longitude on the bracket or the motor ~ its all trial and error and is not easy to explain in a few paragraphs ~ Look at the Tutorials on this forum on how to set up a motorised satellite dish an move on from there. hi thanks for reply, i think i might have got it sorted ,from what i have read on hjere i think i have to use the the bracket on the dish to make dish verticle,and set latitude on bracket on dish,have i got the theory right

hello mate set your latitude on the motor bracket,the dish bracket is for adjustment to tune the dish in on your target satellite your latitude and longitude must also be entered in your stb if using usals.what box do you have?

i am awaiting delivery of spiderbox 9000hd should keep me out of the pub for while got this as its is recond to be simple to set up,as i am a beginner in sat i thought it best one
