can I use any motor with a 1m gilbertini dish?

Hi guys, I have just bought an alsat superior dark motor and was thinking about buying a gilbertini 1m aluminium dish to go with it but on the site that sells it,it says you need a special pole mount and actuator to motorise it,is this correct? or can I still use it with the dark motor?, if so will I need any special brackets to mount it?
    Any info appreciated,cheers!

Your dark motor will move it easily, The polar mount would be for the gibertini 1.5 or maybe 1.2. I'm just about to upgrade my sat gear and im goin to install a 1m gibertini on a technomate 2300.

cheers jpr, I wasnt sure if I could get it at first as the site I was looking at sells it with a polar mount kit with actuator etc.I have read that it is a decent quality dish.

At the minute i have a 1.1 triax on my digipower motor with no problem moves ok. The only problem is that the guy who put it up done a bad job, and then a few weeks ago the motor got stuck , so i decided to upgrade and have a go myself.

most motors have a max of 1.2 metre mate, your 1.1m should be sweet
