    5w transponders

Need a strong transponder to set up my new 1.1m dish, thought i'd have it up in no time but the scale on the dish
seems crap compared to my last dish.

    Good transponder---5w

    thanks

you do have to hunt for the sat it wont be as you say dish off/dish on.the elevation markings are only any use for fine tuning I"ve found. The dish its self wants to start off about vertical then you are going to have to move the whole dish/motor assembly(or just the dish if not motorised)left/right and the dish only up/down til you find your target sat.

I've did all this before but never had this trouble.....infact i
fitted a new motor just last week and had it changed and
          tuned in an hr.
Did a factory reset on my TM...
          entered long and lat
the motor was alread set just a case of fitting the dish
          set the dish elevation
connected motor to box-lnb to motor
          used compass , due south
watched my TV for the signal on 5w to go green
moved dish from left to right.....
          moved the dish elevation up
          left to right
          dish down a little
          left to right
          dish up a little

I cant figure what i'm doing wrong...i even fitted a new lnd
          incase that was the problem

see if you can get a result on 1W I know its not your due south sat but if you put your location long/lat in the box then send the motor to 1W before adjusting the dish it will still be ok.use 11.325H 24500 BBC world.
