    Sat question.

Okay after reading a few articles on various websites, i've came back here to ask you sat geniuses a question.

If i cancel my sky subscription, and they leave the dish and wires leading into my house that go into the back of my box - could i buy a sat receiver and use this dish to get sky from cardsharing?

I know CS chat isn't allowed here, i just wanna know if that's possible.

Or is it worth getting a motorised dish for a couple of hundred and rigging that up?
And if i did, would i have to pay money or are there free satellite to connect to?

As you can probably guess, im interested in the sat scene now!
    Thanks everyone.

So it's probably worth more getting a motorised setup to pick up different sat's?
How much did that set you back?

Hi Cunny I am setting up my dish very soon but the problem is getting a good dm800hd at a reasonable price. Is there any reconmedation you can make? Thanks

yes, get a clone and the money you save will more than pay for your dish, motor, lnb, brackets and cable. and they are just as good as originals
