Fitted quiet a few sky HD boxes over the last couple of months and 2 have had the same fault after a few days. The problem is with the HDMI connection which is lost, although the picture is fine through the scart connection. Anyone else had the same problem or any info on why or how to fix. Tried both boxes on different TV's so this is a fault on thee boxes.

yes had the same problem contacted sly and the only advice was to take the hdmi lead out and swap the ends over total waste of time very poor service and still have not found a fix. all they can offer me is a recon box with the same problem -
has anybody tried a better lead which might be a tighter fit.Comment

Had the same problem with my 250GB box, was told by sky to reset the box!
1. Switch both TV and sky off.
2. Disconnect TV and sky from mains
3. Reconnect TV to mains
4. Turn on TV and select HDMI
5. Wait unti TV states no input signal, leave TV on.
6. Reconnect sky to mains and wait for about 5 mins for box to boot up.
7. When rebooted it will then allow you to it back on.
Really big pain in the a$$, we did this about 15 times, 2 x engineer visits before it finally got replaced!!
Got new smaller 500GB box though.Comment
