I am in North Staffordshire...got a 85cm Motorised set up....I can get everything i should be getting from 42 east to 30 west apart from 16 east. I get just over 30 channels from this bird. On the basis that i have no problems with other satellites, will moving the inclination improve my reception ? or will that just degrade the signal strength on my other satellites ??
Should i struggle with 16 east or not ?

m8 send your dish to 16.0e and then once there either have friend or a very good sat meter and pick the weakest transponder that you have something on. Then either lower or raise the lnb arm to see if you get any increase in signal.
Don't forget its actually 15.8e. -
Hi m8...you should be able to get these fine where you are!! i am just a little bit north of you and have the same size dish and on the tring chnls i have 80% signal quality/digitalb 70%...i too when first installing had a poor signal on 16e while still getting a good signal off the rest of the satellites on the ark.....go to 16e and alter the elevation slightly..upwards a tad in my case, and signal should improve quite a bit...then skew it by twisting the lnb to fine,ly tune it and you will be fine....then check all the other sats in the ark,and if any are missing, just drop the elevation a little till they come back....
ps...this sat position is now 15.8e and not 16e..so if your still on 16e then a tweak of the motor position will also improve thingsLast edited by terriers; 31 July, 2010, 11:04.Comment
