You dont say if its its fixed dish or motorised ? or
what sats you hope to pick up. Motorised in that
position looks like above the roof line to the right
of your front door but up that high can cause probs
    with access...if height scares you.

Put it on a scaffold pole or clothes line post in your garden m8 so you can access it. If you use a clothes line post bury it in a deep hole with concrete with the spiders in the hole to prevent it turning in the wind. Make sure its absolutely vertical before you pour the concrete. As general rule, the height of any obstruction should be just less than half the distance from the obstruction.
The dish when mounted should face roughly south when the motor is on zero and the satellite is Thor 1 west. Your dish should be able pan 40 degrees east & west of south to get all the useful satellites. Why not play around with w*w.dishpointer.com, enter your postcode, zoom in, site your dish in different parts of your garden and see what satellites you can get. There is a diseqc motor setup tut in the DK downloads section.

its a 1meter motorised setup will it be ok to put it up there? as i just live on the ground floor its a another flat above me?
i have a long pole with t and k brackets would it be ok to put the brakets at the bottom of the pole on my part of the wall? with the dish at the top of it? or would the distance from the dish to the braket be a prob?

If the ground mounted dish is 5 feet off the ground, the tree is only going to affect the odd west satellite. Most of the popular satellites are east of south. A 1 metre dish stuck 50cm out on the back wall of your house wall is going to look pretty grotesque and you will need a ladder every time you wish to tune or fix it. You can at least disguise a garden situated dish with bushes or furniture on the northern side. Still, if you are going to wall mount it ~ best of luck !

I assume your dish in pic. 1 is on 28e and therefore see no reason why you wouldn`t get all the major sats if pole mounted near or in front of present dish.

put address in here at check Satellite Finder / Dish Pointing Calculator with Google Maps | DishPointer.com

yeah i noticed that on the site but i dont think its working corectly for my address because it dosent take the house at the bottom into account or the tree in my next door neigbours garden. just wish i could have a desent place to fit the dish and would have had it up ages ago. i have had in the spare room for the past 6 months

i think that might have to wait till the dish is up
